Eva zu Beck BELAU documentary – part 1

Photography: Isak Sandling

The first part of Eva zu Beck’s video about her Bright Equipment Lapland Arctic Ultra adventure is now live on YouTube!

This first video is a great watch. It gives an insightful look into what goes into preparing for a challenge like this, the experience of coming back after a DNF, and the special atmosphere leading up to a race. Plus, we get to meet some of the other competitors along the way. Enjoy!

2026 training course details confirmed

Olov Jonsson has been part of the BELAU training course since its very first year. In 2025, he and his company, Trollkraft Adventures, took over full coordination of the program. And since you don’t change a winning team, Olov will be back in 2026 to once again lead the official training course held just before the race.

All details, including pricing, can be found on the Training Course page right here on our website.

As always, the course is open to anyone looking to build or strengthen the skills required for Arctic ultra events. Participation in the BELAU race is not a requirement. Some athletes choose to take the course one winter and return to race the following year. We’ve also had participants bring along friends or family members who weren’t racing themselves – this is absolutely welcome.

Trailer alert!

Eva zu Beck joined us once before in 2024, when, unfortunately, she was unable to complete her race. This winter, she returned to the Bright Equipment Lapland Arctic Ultra for another shot at the challenge. Just like last time, she documented her entire journey. Yesterday, she dropped the trailer – and now we’re all counting down to April 12th, when the first part of her documentary premieres!
